Jenny Podmore
Initially studying as a teacher, she quickly discovered that this was not what she wanted out of life. So Jenny went travelling around Australia & New Zealand for a while and then home to Cambridge to find some work. Starting out behind the bar and then as a waitress at the Dome, she soon fell in love with the industry being promoted quickly through the ranks and then onto Assistant Manager.
As she was hungry for more success, Jenny moved to London and managed Domes in Charing Cross, Kensington and then went onto the Casa in Wimbledon. She then was fortunate to be offered the amazing experience of working at the The Anglesea Arms in South Kensington for seven years. Her passion for real ale became apparent and in 2008 the Anglesea was voted 4th in the UK Cask Ale Pub of the Year awards and in 2007 she got to the semi final stage of Publican of the Year and in the same year the pub was voted a top 5 pub in the UK by the Morning Advertiser.
Jenny is thrilled to have the chance to manage the Cary Arms and be a part of it's new beginning.
