Agatha Christie Festival The Cary Arms is joining the English Riviera with a great package to support the annual Agatha Christie Festival, allowing guests to enjoy a 2 night stay with a chance to experience a little corner of Devon, as enjoyed by the Queen of Crime. The highlight of the week is a literary supper at the Cary Arms with Agatha Christie’s biographer Laura Thompson – recently seen with David Suchet on the ITV documentary “Perspectives” the programme where Suchet follows in Christie’s footsteps. Laura will share how she set out to unravel the mystery surrounding the life and work in her book, Agatha Christie “An English Mystery”. The two-night package includes:

1950s Coronation Experience
To celebrate a particular ‘50s milestone this coming June – The Queen’s Coronation, the Cary Arms, a de Savary Property, has created an exclusive ‘50s style package, allowing guests a chance to experience a little corner of Devon as enjoyed by another Queen – the Queen of Crime! A two-day yesteryear Riviera experience, guests will spend a day in a chauffeur-driven classic London Taxi, visiting Greenway House - Agatha’s former beloved holiday home overlooking the River Dart and where many of her stories were formed. Carrying on with the ‘50s theme, a picnic hamper filled with modern, as well as traditional Coronation favourites as enjoyed by the cognoscenti of their day, will include; Coronation Chicken Salad; Homemade Scotch Eggs; Egg & Watercress Sandwiches; Fairy Cakes; Cloudy Lemonade, as well as Champagne to toast!
