Accommodation

Our room and suite tariffs include breakfast, our cottages are on a rental basis but breakfast can be added at an additional cost.

All quoted rates are inclusive of credit card charges and VAT.

Cary Arms deduct 10% from the standard tariff for single occupancy.

The tariff is subject to change except in respect of bookings already made.

Dogs are welcomed in specified dog friendly rooms and a dog bed and bowl are provided.

Guests bringing a dog must contact the hotel in advance to confirm dog friendly accommodation is available and we reserve the right to not accept guests who arrive with dogs without forewarning. In this circumstance the charges for the booking would still apply.

We charge £25 per dog per night. 

Check in is at 3pm for all rooms & suites, check out is at 11am with a charge of £50 per hour for late check outs.

Check in is at 5pm for all cottages, check out is at 11am with a charge of £50 per hour for late check outs.

There is a minimum 2 night stay on Fridays, Saturdays, bank holiday weekends and school holidays. Cottages are subject to a minimum 2 night stay year round.

To confirm a booking a credit card guarantee must be in place and 25% of the total reservation value will be charged as a deposit for all rooms, suites and cottages before the booking is confirmed

 

Free cancellation 2 weeks prior to arrival

Within 2 weeks the stay is fully chargeable
 

Cary Arms recommends that clients should take out Holiday Insurance  Cancellation cover as a precaution for unforeseen circumstances.

Luggage storage is available if you arrive before 2pm.

Late arrival - if you are going to arrive after 10pm, please let us know so that we can let you in.

Dinner reservations should be made please by telephone, email or online.

Vegetarian options are always available. Special dietary requirements can be catered for if requested in advance.

Non-residents are welcome to dine, reservations are recommended.

Spa treatment reservations, should be made by telephone or email.

Babysitting is offered through a third party. Please make arrangements with us prior to your arrival.

Any damage to Cary Arms property caused by guests or their pets will be charged to the guest making the booking.

We reserve the right to ask guests who behave in an unruly manner to leave the premises on such reasonable terms as we in our absolute discretion see fit. In the absence of negligence on our part, as is usual, we accept no liability for injury to the person or damage to property connected with your stay at Cary Arms.

The Cary Arms is staffed 24 hours a day, if, however, you are planning on departing prior to 7am or arriving later than 9pm please let us know so arrangements can be made for your smooth arrival / departure.

 

Restaurant

A residents only breakfast is available from 8am to 10am in the main restaurant.

Lunch is served from 12noon to 3pm and dinner from 6.30pm to 9pm. Reservations are highly recommended for lunch and dinner and a table cannot be guaranteed for those without reservations.

A vegetarian menu is available. Special dietary requirements can be catered for, please let us know in advance.

Before you order food and drinks please speak to our staff if you require any allergen or ingredient information.

Tables of 8 people or more will be subject to a £10 deposit per head to confirm your table.

 

Spa

Access to the spa is charged at £15 per person for a two hours slot and a £20 per person (June-August) for our resident guests 


Complimentary access is included with a treatment booking for use on the same day as your treatment only (residents and non-residents)

When using the facilities, you will be issued with a spa card by reception. Please use this card to gain entry to the spa via the entry system outside the main door. Once you have finished using the facilities please kindly return your card to reception - any cards not returned will incur a £10 fee.

The spa is open from 9am until 5pm during the winter months and during the summer we have later opening hours until 8pm. Please be advised that last entry to the spa facilities is half an hour before closing time.

Spa treatments are available by reservation from 10am until 6pm, we do suggest booking early to avoid disappointment.

In order to make the most of your treatment, we ask that you arrive a minimum of 10 minutes prior to your appointment as this will allow you time to familiarise yourself with your surroundings and complete a medical consultation form. Unfortunately, if you are late for your appointment your treatment duration may be reduced, and in this event there will be no reduction to the price charged.

If you should wish to change your treatment choice on the day of your booking we will endeavour to amend this for, but this may not always be possible due to treatment setup and timings. All appointment times include consultation and aftercare advice.

Please note that we operate a no lone bathing policy. If you wish to use the facilities alone please inform reception.

We understand that on occasions appointments may need to be cancelled or rescheduled, please be advised that we hold a 48 hour cancellation/reschedule policy and after that period, full charge will be made.

Please ensure you are wearing swimwear at all times in the spa. In the gym, guests should dress for comfort in a t-shirt or vest with stretch trousers or shorts and suitable footwear must be worn in the gym.

For hygiene purposes, please ensure you have showered and dried before your treatment. If you have been swimming please ensure you have dry underwear on before your treatment. Depending on the treatment, your therapist will advise you during the consultation what you will need to wear. Please be assured that all of our therapists are highly trained and your modesty will be protected at all times.

Please notify your therapist if you are pregnant or have any special medical considerations so that appropriate treatment modifications can be made. Kindly advise us of any health conditions, allergies or injuries, which could affect your treatment when making your spa reservation.

Cary Arms Spa cannot be held responsible for any changes to treatments or cancellations that occur due to non-disclosure of medical conditions at the time of booking, however it's our ethos to help all people be well.

Pregnant ladies are strongly advised against the use of any heat and/or hydrotherapy facilities.

Please note guests suffering from any heart conditions or high blood pressure will be unable to use any of our heat experiences.

Clients must ensure that Verrucas / foot conditions are suitably covered in the interest of hygiene whilst using the facilities and during treatments.

Due to the active nature of the products Spa users must be a minimum age of 16 years. Infants, toddlers and children under 16 years old are not accepted in the spa.

Our spa environment is one of relaxation and tranquility. Please respect all spa guests’ right to privacy and serenity and we ask that you turn off your mobile phone whilst in the spa. It is important to keep noise levels down so as to not disturb other guests trying to unwind, especially outside the treatment rooms.

Please be advised that during busy times we ask that a maximum of 8 people use the facilities at one time so you may be asked to return during a quieter period, this is to ensure that your time in the spa is as relaxing as possible.

Please ensure you drink plenty of water throughout your day whilst using the spa or after having a treatment. It is recommended that no alcohol is consumed immediately prior/ post to your arrival. We do not advise having a heavy meal before having a treatment as it may be uncomfortable.

 

Parking

 

The Cary Arms operates a valet parking service for all residential guests to the residents car park.

Any damage caused to a vehicle will be the responsibility of the owner of the vehicle.

Guests also have the option to parking their own car and assistance will be given.

During your stay your car can be collected from the car park and brought down to you when required, please give 10 minutes notice for this  

There is no parking available for non-residents, we recommend using the public car park on Babbacombe Beach. This car park can become very busy during the summer season and hot days. In this instance there are additional public car parks at the top of the hill on Babbacombe Downs, please be aware that the walk from Babbacombe Downs to the hotel is steep and not suitable for people with mobility issues.

For non-resident guests with mobility issues a drop / off and pick up point is situated at the front of the hotel.

Secured transaction

Our website features advanced online security mechanisms. Each stage of the booking process is protected using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, the leading technology in this field. Your information is encrypted and protected using server authentication and data encryption methods.

The security certificate used is issued by an accredited third-party provider, Thawte. This certificate is used by the Rezlynx booking system. You can check the validity of the certificate here

The booking system is also hosted in a secure server environment with biometric security mechanisms, a firewall and other advanced technologies to prevent interference and intrusion.

Please note that the Cary Arms & Spa will not accept responsability for any loss or damaged of any item and will not send item left in the room after check out. Thank you for your understanding.
