Things to do in South Devon

So many activities and adventures to enjoy

Old fashioned fun on the beach or adrenaline water sports - Cary Arms is a good place for either. Horse-riding and biking can be arranged through the hotel, there is plenty of coastal path to explore and more sporty pursuits like diving and RIB rides right in front of us. From the pier (built in 1889) you can fish till your hearts content. Mackerel, black bream and bass all feature regularly in catches.

Down on the beach it’s down to the imagination. Children can paddle as the tide comes in, skim stones or explore the rock pools. Don’t forget to bring wellingtons for a fun, family escape.

 SAILING YACHT

Discover the stunning South Devon coast on board of this classic wooden sailing yacht "Escape".

Escape is a 43-foot wooden classic gaff yawl built in 1937
by Kristensen in Norway. She was originally designed by Colin Archer as a sailing lifeboat but was refined to make her slightly smaller and easier to sail by her owners. Escape is fully MCA coded to carry 8 passengers plus 2 crew.

Help to set the sails, coil the ropes and steer her or simply sit back back and watch the world go by!
